Twenty years ago in graduate school while in a local watering hole on a leafy college campus, I was explaining to a young co-ed what my graduate degree was all about and all the useful applications it would have in the real world.  Unimpressed, she called me a freak and walked away.

As I pondered different applications to all these geeky formulas, I made an incredible discovery.  I could you use them to predict the outcomes of college bowl games to the tune of 70+% accuracy.  This system has worked at a 70%+  for 19 out of the 20 past years with one season falling to 50%. Not bad!

Over 70% Correct!

Does it work for regular season games?  No.  NFL?  No. Any other sport?  No. 

But it works in the bowls.  The co-ed got half of it right, Freak.  I have added Bowl and now I am known as the BowlFreak.
